The Donostia award is given every year, to commemorate some of the greatest film personalities of Hollywood.

After winning this prestigious award, Glenn Close will join the league of previous winners, which includes Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Bette Davis, Richard Gere, Gregory Peck, Woody Allen and many others.

Glenn Close is best known for her memorable performance as the hard core and professional lawyer, Patty Hewes, in the TV series Damages. Patty owns a law firm called Hewes and Associates, and plays a very compelling and authoritarian role, in the male dominated world of litigation.

Patty Hewes’ relationship with her protégé Ellen Parsons, her clients and other colleagues is interesting to watch, as season after season, Patty wins one legal battle after another.
